Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Systems Administrator with an active Secret clearance in Columbus Ohio, Responsibilities may include management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to Identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure. Support duties may include updating and supporting systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space. Implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshooting issues. Responsibilities for the Systems Administrator
· Monitor and maintain an enterprise services environment consisting of Windows servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, and network appliances.
· Assist mission partners with mobile device VPN connectivity debugging, user account and device management, and troubleshooting system/service access issues.
· Perform configuration updates and maintenance activities to patch, secure, and maintain systems.
· Respond to, and help analyze, issues that degrade system or network performance to minimize downtime.
· Address moderately complex technical issues using internal SOPs and collaboration with team members.
· Help create and update documentation for common issues and processes to contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Qualifications for the Systems Administrator
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience or Master's degree with less than 2 years of related experience. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
· Active DoD SECRET clearance.
· DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+ CE) within 6 months of hire date.
· Experience troubleshooting issues with software applications, networking, Windows OS or Linux OS.
· Experience performing system administration tasks - installing, maintaining, monitoring, recovering, rebuilding, upgrading, patching.
· Experience researching technical solutions beyond internal SOPs.
· Willingness to work with multiple technologies and be open to learning new technologies
Compensation for the Systems Administrator
· $55,000-$60,000 annual salary *depending on experience
