Description
Markon's partner company is seeking an experienced ISSO to support an intelligence customer.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for assigned special systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, and POA&Ms.
- Coordinate and collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure security controls are implemented effectively.
- Assist in achieving and sustaining ATOs for systems by working closely with northern-based cybersecurity and compliance teams.
- Conduct continuous monitoring activities, vulnerability management, and incident response support.
- Stay current on applicable security policies, procedures, and tools, including NIST 800-53, RMF, and DoD/IC security frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant cybersecurity experience, with emphasis on ISSO responsibilities.
- Hands-on technical experience in cybersecurity operations and compliance.
- Familiarity with ATO processes and supporting special systems in classified or sensitive environments.
- Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with geographically distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CAP, or Security+.
- Experience with federal or intelligence community environments.
- Knowledge of RMF, NIST guidelines, and continuous monitoring practices.
