Overview
The Senior Systems Engineer IV will provide advanced technical expertise in training systems, mission systems architecture, and sustaining engineering for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS). This role requires a highly experienced engineer to support the design, development, evaluation, and sustainment of UAS systems and their associated training devices. The Engineer IV will work closely with government stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of engineering tasks aligned with UAS lifecycle requirements.

This role requires a highly experienced engineer to support the design, development, evaluation, and sustainment of UAS systems and their associated training devices. The Engineer IV will work closely with government stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of engineering tasks aligned with UAS lifecycle requirements.
Responsibilities
Training, Training Devices, and Test Support:
- Training Strategy Development: Identify, plan, and implement integrated strategies to train Warfighters to operate and maintain UAS throughout the lifecycle.
- Training Devices Acquisition: Develop documentation to acquire Training Aides Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) and support their sustainment at the lowest total ownership cost.
- Courseware Development: Create and maintain UAS operator and maintainer courseware, including Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) and Virtual Immersive Environment materials.
- Training Validation: Analyze and assess training materials, corrective action plans, and readiness requirements to ensure effective training delivery.
- Test Support: Provide recommendations for Government acceptance testing, fielding, and New Equipment Training (NET) for TADSS.
Engineering Services:
- Technical and Engineering Support: Deliver engineering services for the design, development, evaluation, analysis, documentation, production, and sustainment of UAS systems, including associated supporting systems.
- Cybersecurity and Information Assurance: Provide engineering expertise to ensure UAS systems meet cybersecurity and information assurance requirements.
- Aircraft Survivability: Support engineering efforts to enhance aircraft survivability and system safety.
- Mission Systems Architecture: Develop and sustain mission systems architecture to ensure modular, scalable, and interoperable solutions.
Sustaining Engineering:
- Engineering Reviews: Participate in engineering reviews and design reviews, providing technical recommendations to the Government.
- Operational Issue Resolution: Conduct engineering and logistics investigations to develop and influence design changes necessary to resolve operational issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of task-related experience gained after obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Experience with UAS systems and lifecycle management is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies related to system design, cybersecurity, and mission systems architecture.
- Security Clearance:
- Active SECRET clearance required.
Work Location:
- Primary: Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
- Secondary: Authorized virtual work location per customer Telework Policy. Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required at other locations.
Additional Requirements:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to UAS systems.
