Dorrean is looking for a Data Security Subject Matter Expert supporting a Federal Agency in a contract role.
The Data Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) will serve as the data security, readiness, risk, and vulnerability subject matter expert. In the role, the Data Security SME will:
• Assess and analyze data security, readiness, risk, and vulnerability for companies that are subject to the CFIUS process, have Telecommunications agreements with the US Government, are under compliance and enforcement agreements with the US Government, or have Data EO applicability.
• Review, analyze, and assess data security plans for companies that are subject to the CFIUS process, have Telecommunications agreements with the US Government, are under compliance and enforcement agreements with the US Government, or have Data EO applicability.
• Prepare written work products (charts, graphs, one-pagers, etc.) and brief leadership on potential data vulnerabilities for critical infrastructure sectors, organizations, and groups of individuals that store and/or transmit AI, Biometric, Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Law Enforcement, and other specifically identified protected data types.
• Develop materials to communicate, educate, and document analytic work to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Data Security Subject Matter Expert Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field
• Advanced degree in a technical field preferred
• May substitute 2 years additional work experience in law enforcement or a core area of technological interest for an advanced degree
• 5-10 years of work experience in a field such as data security, information technology and cybersecurity operations, or data science and analysis
• Widely recognized certifications such as CISSP may substitute for 2-5 years of work experience, depending on their level and relevance.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent technically focused research and analysis in an area related to core area of technical interest.
• Demonstrated analytic writing and communication ability
