Mission Assurance Analyst / Technical Editor - Senior
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Operational Planner with expertise in Mission Assurance (MA) and technical editing to support high-level planning and documentation efforts at the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA). The ideal candidate will have significant experience with the Army Mission Assurance process, a strong background in cyber policy, operational planning, and technical documentation, and a deep understanding of Army processes and joint operational structures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support assessment teams in the development and preparation of documentation for Pre-Site Surveys, MA Assessments, and Risk Reduction Plan mitigation reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate submission of MA Assessment reports and FY17 NDAA Section 1650 reports to the appropriate system of record.
Track and review periodic inputs from asset owners, mission owners, and stakeholders to verify completion and resolution of mitigation strategies.
Provide detailed technical editing, formatting, and quality assurance for all MA documentation.
Apply Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) and Joint Operational Planning Process (JOPP) principles to support cyber/MA policy initiatives and assessment planning.
Collaborate across functional teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of program documentation and analysis.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications include:
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
Minimum of 3 years of experience at the HQDA level or higher supporting cyber or MA policy-related efforts, or other service equivalence.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management tools.
Excellent writing, editing, and briefing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Direct experience with MA Assessments and compliance with NDAA Section 1650 reporting.
Familiarity with Army and DoD risk management frameworks and system-of-record tracking tools.
