Position Title : Database Administrator
Position Location : This position is full time onsite in Silver Spring, MD with regular task-related off-site travel
Daily Responsibilities :
•Support the creation, management, and maintenance of a Microsoft Access database (or equivalent) for the client. This shall include data entry, reporting, queries, and management of database archives and back-up which may require programming, testing, implementation, customization, coordination, and maintenance of databases in a research management setting.
•Create and manage client websites. Updates to websites shall be made within three business days of the request.
•Manage the enterprise-wide system for electronic records sharing and coordination for the IRB and with other IRBs (eIRB or equivalent).
•Prepare protocol metrics reports for client leadership.
•Update the client protocol database/electronic records management system in a timely manner and maintain electronic and paper regulatory files within three business days of receipt of the lifecycle action.
•Assist with setting up and sending databases to Divisions and Detachments.
•Review, triage, and log emails from the main office email inbox to include sending acknowledgement of receipt emails for submissions to the client inbox.
•Save and back-up research emails and databases every business day.
Required Years of Experience (min) :
•5 years of experience
Required Education:
•B.S. in relevant area preferred
Required Experience :
•5 years of experience managing Microsoft SQL Servers, Access databases and SharePoint in support of IRB workflows.
•Experience using IRB Management systems (e.g. eIRB) preferred.
•DoD experience preferred.
•Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Required Clearance :
•U.S. citizenship required.
•Candidates must be able to secure and maintain Federal Government security clearances as deemed appropriate by management
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: TBD
