Job Description
ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Be an integral team member supporting the fielding of instrumentation and electronic test systems for a government agency conducting test and evaluation at various national defense test ranges around the nation.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate with at least 3+ years experience as an electronics technician. Higher degree a plus. Previous experience fielding/repairing electronic and/or avionic systems required. Aviation electronics related experience is a plus. Experience in some or several of these areas listed is preferred:
• Familiar with Aerospace wiring best practices for military systems.
• Experience building and repairing various types of wiring harnesses for equipment.
• Ability to solder and rework PCBs. (surface mount and thru-hole components)
• Experience with basic fabrication tools to build custom electronic boxes from COTS bud boxes. (Drilling holes for connectors, wire routing, mounting PCBs)
• Assist in setup and operation of test instrumentation on test ranges
• Assist in transporting equipment to test ranges.
• Experience repairing electronic equipment in a field environment.
• Experience with portable generators.
• Able to travel. The position will require occasional travel to test events.
• Soldering certification is a plus
Position supports a US Government contract. U. S. citizenship required and ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Existing DOD Secret Clearance preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year depending on experience.
