Job Title: ISSM Support Specialist
Location: Remote/Telecommute
About the Role
3 Reasons Consulting, LLC (3RC) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented ISSM Support Specialist to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to grow in the cybersecurity field while supporting system accreditation and security compliance processes. Reporting directly to the Regional Lead in the assigned (Southeast Region) Marketplace Region, this role assists with critical cybersecurity tasks, including system accreditation, vulnerability analysis, and security policy implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Assist ISSMs with managing system accreditation packages in eMASS.
Support the completion and review of hardware/software lists and PPS registrations.
Review Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) findings for completion and accuracy.
Review Security Plans and assess security controls in accordance with NIST 800-53 (Rev 4 and 5).
Enter test results, evidence, artifacts, and related documentation into eMASS.
Draft and review system policies and procedures for site implementation.
Communicate ACAS scan results and ESS status to ISSM/ISSO teams to execute remediation activities.
Analyze vulnerability scan results and coordinate remediation actions or POA&M creation/extension actions with site ISSMs.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
Relevant experience in medical, government, DoD, or DHA environments is a plus.
Certification: IAT II Level Certification or equivalent required (8140/8570 compliance).
Experience
Familiarity with eMASS or similar systems required.
Knowledge of ACAS, MECM, HBSS (ESS), CMRS, Splunk, or related tools is a plus.
Prior experience in security compliance or vulnerability analysis preferred.
Skills
Ability to analyze and communicate vulnerability scan results effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in remote/telecommute settings.
Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Clearance Requirement
Active Secret security clearance required
