Job Summary:
Work with and provide supervision to the network engineering team to design, implement, and maintain system and equipment installation projects in various areas of the country. The incumbent will be involved in research and development projects in the wireless connectivity solutions area.

Work with and provide supervision to the network engineering team to design, implement, and maintain system and equipment installation projects in various areas of the country. The incumbent will be involved in research and development projects in the wireless connectivity solutions area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct supervision to the Network Engineering team and overall guidance to ensure successful completion of all engineering activities
- Provide resource management and tracking of all team members
- Perform timesheet approvals and annual evaluations of all Network Engineering team members
- Assist in the design, upgrade, and maintenance of wireless connectivity systems
- Provide direct guidance on Continual Service Improvement - Brainstorm and implement future system improvements
- Support direct network engineering designs of Cisco Routers and Switches
- Discover problems and provide solutions to issues that arise. Utilize logic and reasoning when troubleshooting difficult issues. Develop solutions to challenges, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
- Develop innovative, effective new solutions and designs
- Speak to and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, such as clients, sub-contractors, vendors, management, cybersecurity, and network engineering staff during the development, installation, and maintenance of a system
- Create control features to ensure systems effectively meet the company's quality standards
- Ensure proper quality control procedures are followed to ensure that systems are efficient and operational
- Serve as technical point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
- Understand and appropriately respond to feedback
- Communicate with management and executives to keep projects aligned with company goals
- Communicate effectively to relay important information, conduct training, and communicate solutions to complex challenges
- Perform other duties within this scope as assigned
Requirement:
- Minimum 4+ years leading engineering teams of 4 or more people in designing and implementing new customer networks. Wireless network experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' experience in an IT or Engineering related field; or 8+ years direct experience supporting IT network engineering systems
- Broad understanding of Cisco network devices, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. CLI experience required.
- Exceptional degree of customer-service orientation
- Security+, Network+, CCNA certifications a plus.
- Prior Military experience preferred
- Active DoD Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance
