Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The Cybersecurity Engineer supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
• Perform duties as the Risk Management Framework Administrator, and will:
o Implement/maintain the security and integrity of information systems and networks.
o Identify and resolve moderately complex issues to prevent cyber-attacks on information systems and to keep computer information systems secure from interruption of service, intellectual property theft, network viruses, data mining, financial theft, and theft of sensitive customer data, allowing business to continue as normal.
• Develop and collect artifacts to document compliance for cybersecurity controls IAW DoD and NIST RMF guidelines.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for the customer.
• May provide computer forensic and intrusion support to high-technology investigations in the form of computer evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments.
• Participate in configuration control process for hardware and software to include technology selection/recommendation and ongoing configuration management.
• Analysis of established security requirements recommendation of additional security requirements and safeguards.
• Support the formal ST&E required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in tests, analysis of the results, and the preparation of required reports.
• Continuously monitor the cybersecurity posture of each system and implement corrective actions or mitigations until all vulnerabilities are addressed.
The successful candidate will:
• Be able to work well in a fast paced/team environment
• Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
• Be able to work with diverse teams of engineering and support personnel in a mission-critical operational environment
This position will be filled and work onsite at Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:
• Must have 2 years of directly related experience
• Must have a current CISM certification
• Must have experience preparing, objectively reviewing, and delivering technical presentations
• Must understand NIST standards
• Must have eMass experience
• Must have an active Dod Top Secret Security Clearance w/ SCI Eligibility
Desired Requirements:
• Have experience interfacing with senior Air Force and/or DoD customers, as well as experience serving multiple DoD Agencies.
• Have experience supporting NC3 mission systems/subsystems.
• Have experience with Xacta.
• Have 2, or more, years of Cybersecurity or Project Management experience
This position is expected to pay $95,000 - $103,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
