We are looking for a support desk team member with GIS experience to join our established team. Desired candidates should have knowledge of geospatial tools and technologies and a computer science background. Members of the support team are responsible for:
· Managing a Jira service desk serving thousands of customers throughout the IC
· Promptly responding to user support requests focusing on using GIS commercial products (mostly Esri technologies) as well as in house developed geospatial focused web services.
· Ensuring service level agreements for responding to and resolving customer generated issues are met.
· Working with the development team to help identify new user requirements to support mission focused workflows
· Collaborate with geospatial software vendors to obtain, test and deploy software to the enterprise
· Provide proactive outreach throughout the enterprise to assist users in applying geospatial principles and techniques to their workflows.
· Writing and maintaining documentation including knowledge base articles and user guides
· Helping to implement a positive, customer-focused culture
Required Qualifications
· Ten (10) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required. A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional GIS system engineer/analyst experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
· Experience with using geospatial products and tools. Experience with Esri products preferred
· Ability to work independently to solve problems
· Must have strong written and oral communication skills
· Ability to multi-task, while ensuring priority deadlines are met
· Must show ambition and the desire to continually learn and be challenged

· Experience with performing analysis, data manipulation, data creation and other geospatial processes with ArcGIS
