Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Security in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Security Officer in the Tech/Media/Telecom location, you will be responsible for monitoring designated areas to help deter security-related incidents. This armed position requires you to maintain a visible presence, conduct routine checks, and engage with individuals to provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your role is crucial in fostering a secure environment while adhering to our values of agility, reliability, and innovation. Pay Rate: $23.58 / Hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and activities within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence to assist in preventing security-related incidents.
• Collaborate with team members to address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
• Document and report any unusual activities or incidents observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have an armed designation and be at least 21 years of age.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years combined experience in law enforcement, military, or security, or possess a college degree.
• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Applicants must hold an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
