Overview
Logistician Senior (F3500 2025-22742):
Bowhead seeks a Senior Logistician to join our team in supporting the Crane, IN Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane) and the Radar Technologies Division. The Senior Logistician shall perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy. The Logistician shall be capable of independently performing complicated and technical logistics tasks described below.

The Senior Logistician shall perform various tasks related to the planning, development, implementation and management of a comprehensive, affordable and effective systems support strategy. The Logistician shall be capable of independently performing complicated and technical logistics tasks described below.
Responsibilities
Essential functions will include:
- Perform Product & Integrated Logistics support (ILS), Lifecycle Management, and other logistics functions across all twelve Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements for all systems within WXP's Advanced Radar portfolio:
- Create/modify/interpret engineering documentation related to lab design/layout for testing of RF Sensor systems & sub-assemblies. Ability to determine equipment power requirements (voltage and Amperage) and be able to clearly communicate those requirements to NAVFAC/Electricians to perform load calculations and construction of new power drops.
- Manage asset movement and activity by obtaining and maintain access to Government owned databases: Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Shop Workload Management System (SWMS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Web Visual Logistics Information Processing System (WebVLIPS), Product Data and Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP), Haystack, Web Federal Logistic Information System (WebFLIS), OneTouch, and NAVSUP System Support Program Logistics Management System - 21 (NSSP LMS-21).
- Assist in the creation of the acquisition planning and contract monitoring. The contractor shall assist in the creation and overseeing of the overhaul plans for implementation and maintenance of a system for breaking out maintenance workloads among organic, interservice and contractor Source Of Repair (SOR), and providing the RTA the status of workloads while factoring in the flow times, spares, budget estimates, and financial planning to effectively meet organization's goals.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for the analysis of data through understanding and performing Excel-driven formulas (i.e. perform the analysis of funding commitments, obligations, expenditures, and availability according to the execution planning sheets, track multiple levels of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), ensure funding documents are properly burned, format the data into a readable fashion for the RTA).
- Assist the Government in analyzing the costing data as it pertains to total expenditures, obligations, and actual cost data and presenting the data in coherent reports.
- Assist task managers in developing procedures and processes and identification of tasking to be performed by participating activities.
- Monitor and analyze procedures and techniques necessary to acquire, catalog, receive, store, transfer, issue and dispose of repair parts and supplies. Contractor shall serve as the Project interface with the Task Manager to track program asset status and workload planning. The tasking includes monitoring inventory stocks, including the inventory stock of assets outside of NSWC Crane.
- Interface with analysts and workload shop leads to gather, track, and analyze project metrics.
- Assist the Government in developing program specific production and installation schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Shop Workload Management System (SWMS). Meet daily with the Government to update these schedules as necessary. An Asset Backorder Report will be sent to the Program Office and In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA) on a weekly basis. The tasking includes tracking and monitoring of the asset payback system between programs borrowing assets with PBL-O for fleet support requirements.
- Retrieve data and/or coordinate the retrieval of data with system data administrators from ERP, WAWF, SWMS, and PDREP for ad hoc requests associated with shop workload, replenishment management, total asset availability, shelf life management, and warranty management through the supply chain in the logistics life cycle. Retrieved data will be reviewed and approved by government personnel prior to routing outside of the Radar Technologies Division. Manage workload schedules against fleet readiness schedules to ensure timely delivery of assets and deliverables.
- Understand the depot, lab, and test areas to be able to respond in a timely manner to production/depot and engineering requirements. Ensure data for asset movements (such as DD-1149s, DD-250s, Material Movement Documents (MMD), DD-1348s, etc.) is properly recorded in all applicable systems (such as SWMS, ERP, WAWF, and PDREP). Utilize ERP, SWMS, WAWF, VLIPS, PDREP, Haystack, WebFLIS, and OneTouch to collect data for and respond to engineering data calls, reliability analysis, fleet readiness, and asset availability. The contractor shall provide fleet support for Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and requisitions supporting US Navy and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
- Assist the government in developing, planning, and executing a robust Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) strategy that make up the hardware, software, and any ancillary support equipment to ensure support/reliability through its lifecycle.
- Perform analysis to identify failure trends of LRU/SRU hardware and software and report findings to the task manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience is required. Additional work experience may be substituted for the formal education requirements for the highly qualified candidates
- Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is preferred
- Experience developing Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA)
- Ability to perform Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RMA), Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Prior experience and knowledge of logistics procedures and processes is required
- Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
