Position Overview

You’ll support video teleconferencing suites within NMIC and affiliated commands, including those operating on JWICS, Legacy ISDN technologies, and/or IP-based networks. Work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with experts to ensure optimal performance and security for our VTC infrastructure.

- On-site video teleconferencing production, design, and engineering
- Scheduling, installation, maintenance, and related operational support services
You’ll support video teleconferencing suites within NMIC and affiliated commands, including those operating on JWICS, Legacy ISDN technologies, and/or IP-based networks. Work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with experts to ensure optimal performance and security for our VTC infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide design, engineering, and support for installation, accreditation, activation, and remote troubleshooting assistance of room/studio and desktop VTC services residing on JWICS.
- Execute the design, engineering, installation, configuration, accreditation, and scheduling of VTC systems.
- Maintain inventory accountability of all VTC assets.
- Monitor ONI’s trouble-ticket system to address operational viability of all VTC units.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance
- 3 years of experience with A/V system implementation and support.
- 5 years of hands-on technical support of video telecommunications technologies.
- Experience with AV control systems (e.g., AMX, Crestron, Extron) and basic networking.
- Hands-on experience providing point-to-point and multi-point VTC capabilities.
- Cable fabrication experience (e.g., Cat6, XLR, 3.5mm, DB-9, TRRS).
- Exceptional customer service skills, especially for VIP clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, crawl, and walk long distances.
