Overview:
The Sponsor has a requirement for systems architecture, software engineering, and technical expertise in support of operational planning, implementation and engineering tasks.
Software EngineerThe Sponsor has a requirement for systems architecture, software engineering, and technical expertise in support of operational planning, implementation and engineering tasks. Lines of effort shall include facilitating data collection and analysis, triaging large amounts of data collection in order to assess operational value, providing engineering design, implementation of data triage capabilities, and providing technical consultation and expertise to support the development of strategic operational goals. The Sofftware Engineer will provide engineering support for data triage and assessment in the field and at Sponsor's site and have knowledge of Linux, cluster, and cloud computing capabilities, especially the Hadoop ecosystem and related distributed technologies such as Kafka and Presto. They will work closely with other contractor resources to ingest new data and use it to inform new operations or opportunities and should have extensive demonstrated experience with cloud, data management, and development environments: Specifically, AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, and SQL (as well as Spark or Presto). The Software Engineer should have extensive experience working in support to multi-disciplinary teams supporting network operations missions and be familiar with the workflow and skills supporting a team incorporated of operations officers, technical officers, and operators. They should have extensive programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, Perl) and comfortable in multiple computing environments (Window, Linux, and Mac OS). The Software Engineer will evaluate various data sets and incorporate a range of data triage capabilities and provide strategic guidance regarding operational opportunities and create system artifacts such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation in conjunction with supporting documentation relative to the data triage and analysis. They will also support technical meetings with both domestic and foreign locations amongst stakeholders in direct support data triage and assessments.
1.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with Hadoop. 2.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience understanding large distributed data systems, cloud infrastructure, and network architecture (Hadoop, Kafka, HBase, or Presto). 3.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with cloud, data management, and development environments: Specifically, AWS, HDFS, Cloudera, and SQL (as well as Spark or Presto). 4.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience with programming skills in multiple languages (Java, Python, and Perl). 5.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience in multiple computing environments (Window, Linux, and Mac OS). 6.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience evaluating various data sets and incorporating a range of data triage capabilities. 7.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience providing strategic guidance regarding operational opportunities. 8.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience creating system artifacts such as Concept of Operations (CONOPS) documentation in conjunction with supporting documentation relative to data triage and analysis. 9.(Desired) Demonstrated experience working in support to multi-disciplinary teams supporting network operations missions.
