The SAMBT (Source, Artifact Management & Build Tools) team at Workday relentlessly pursues reliability and availability of build, development and deployment tools by employing a culture of learning, continuous improvement and an engineering focus.
The team builds and crafts innovative solutions to support all Workday development teams in their SDLC which includes binary artifact management, software distribution, source control systems and build tools. We support our users with high energy, attention to detail and strong collaboration.
About the Role
As a member of the SAMBT team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying automation and applications that will be used by multiple development, engineering and DevOps teams across Workday. We are keenly passionate about Workday’s core values, including innovation, integrity and having fun!
This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- This position requires a TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance. Applicants must already possess a valid
and active TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer supporting Production Engineering, DevOps or equivalent
roles
- 3+ years of experience in using configuration management frameworks like Chef, Ansible, Terraform,
Docker, Kubernetes in Public/Private Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.).
Other Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Experience in managing and supporting source code management (SCM) tools
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, and Agile methodologies
- Experience in Linux operating systems and various scripting languages such as - Python, Ruby, Golang
- Deep understanding of Public Cloud Networking
- JFrog Artifactory administration experience an advantage
