Job Description:
CACI is looking for an entry level Systems Administration Design Engineer for our Software Maintenance Action (SWMA) Team (e.g., scripting standard OS patch installs) for the Range, Communications, and Network segments that support the U.S. Satellite Control Network (SCN). The SWMA team Works with the SCN to solve business problems with technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks. You will bring your proactive energy, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage time and projects effectively to improve the enterprise technical infrastructure of the SCN systems, and, when required, support security and functionality issues. You will have the opportunity to develop skills on a wide variety of software and hardware as your team works with the customer to maintain and improve the SCN posture.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Job Description:

You will bring your proactive energy, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to manage time and projects effectively to improve the enterprise technical infrastructure of the SCN systems, and, when required, support security and functionality issues. You will have the opportunity to develop skills on a wide variety of software and hardware as your team works with the customer to maintain and improve the SCN posture.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze system needs, system development and systems process analysis.
- Assist in Architecting new technical solutions, including patch deployment and configuration management for the SCN mission systems
- Assist in Architecting SCN network changes to support implementation of new capabilities and features to include regression testing of existing capabilities.
- Assist in the development and management of an architecture governance process.
- Identify vulnerabilities and disruptions before they cause severe damage
- Develop and document the support for implementation for changes to technical standards.
- Communicate clearly and concisely in voice, written word, and graphics to conduct formal milestone customer briefings
- Install and configure systems at customer locations (approximately 25% currently anticipated)
- Assist in every day troubleshooting at the lab environment set up to mimic the SCN
- Coordinate closely with cybersecurity, networking, software, and test engineering teams
- Maintain and submit documentation in accordance with SWMA Procedure
Qualifications:
Required
- Must be a US Citizen
- BA/BS or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Have excellent customer relationship skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be a self-starter willing to seek knowledge and broaden their understanding of their areas of responsibility
- Have exceptional time management skills and ability to switch between project tasks effectively
- Experienced in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite including Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Ability to obtain Security+ within 90 days of hire
- Security Clearance (Or ability to obtain)
Desired
- VMware 6.X and above, Microsoft Server 2016 and later, NetApp Storage Systems, Linux
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration, Windows File Servers, IIS, DHCP and DNS
- Cybersecurity experience IAW DISA STIGs
- Possess basic understanding of IT fundamentals including knowledge of hardware functions (switches, routers, servers etc.), database functions, storage, and networking
- Agile software project methodology
- Understanding of SWMA process
- Industry related certifications
