The Front Desk Administrator plays a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and organized environment for customers and employees. They are the first point of contact for anyone seeking in-person IT support and are responsible for managing administrative tasks efficiently.
1. Greeting and Reception:
- Welcome service customers with a friendly demeanor.
- Answer phone calls, transfer calls, and take messages as needed.
- Maintain a tidy and professional reception area.
2. Administrative Support:
- Handle incoming and outgoing IT assets, components, and documentation.
- Schedule appointments and manage tech support bookings.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks (filing, data entry, updating documents, etc.).
3. Communication:
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and external parties.
- Provide information about the organization, services, processes, and policies.
4. Security and Access Control:
- Monitor access to the help desk, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Maintain help desk employee in/out board status.
5. Problem Solving:
- Address technical inquiries, resolve minor issues, and direct urgent matters to the appropriate personnel.
- Handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
6. Organization and Coordination:
- Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder as necessary.
- Coordinate with other departments for seamless operations.
Requirements
- Holds active Secret clearance (or able to obtain one)
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
