You will be a Machinist/Operator at our High Speed Wind Tunnel facility, where you will play a critical role in manufacturing and modifying scale models of missiles, rockets, and other aerospace vehicles. Our team is responsible for supporting the development of cutting-edge, high-performance aerospace vehicles, and we're looking for a skilled and versatile individual to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Machinist/Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Fabricating new model parts and modifying existing models to high tolerances
• Creating replacement parts for the facility and building tools to improve efficiency
• Setting up models for testing, performing model changes during testing, and operating the wind tunnel and air compressor control systems
• Performing maintenance on a variety of systems, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Working with a wide range of materials and equipment, from small precise parts to large structures

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• 10 years (minimum) of experience with shop machines such as lathes and milling machines and have minimal restrictions to physical activity
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Independently edit, program, set up and run CNC and conventional manual machines
• Support periodic night shift and weekend operations, with required paid overtime
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must have the ability to obtain a forklift license
Desired Skills:
• Wind Tunnel experience
• Precision metal fabrication experience, such as tool & die or precision scale models
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
