Overview:
The Sponsor requires systems engineering support to assist with the identification and analysis of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Open-Source capabilities.
Systems EngineerThe Sponsor requires systems engineering support to assist with the identification and analysis of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and Open-Source capabilities - including software, data, networks, and/or hardware - that can be integrated in various ways to generate novel system solutions to meet mission requirements and improve operational efficiency of the Sponsor. The Sponsor also requires direct on-site support to deliver proof of concept, development, pilot deployment, and other general support for these solutions, to include best practice consultations with Sponsor's in-house technical SMEs, flexibility to adapt proposed solutions to address evolving cybersecurity vulnerabilities, user-training, O&M and trouble-shooting support, along with provision of documentation showing system architecture, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), user-guides, and cybersecurity measures to the Sponsor team. The Systems Engineers will work closely with the Sponsor to identify, assess, develop, test, deploy, and maintain a host of technical systems consisting of COTS, GOTS, and Open-Source resources uniquely integrated to enable secure online activities that regulate associations and ensure integrity and privacy of data. They will collect and assess Sponsor's online network and cybersecurity requirements; develop and deploy tailored online network and cybersecurity solutions; and partner with Sponsor team to complete requirements for all required approvals and maintain compliance throughout the lifecycle of Sponsor's technical approval processes. The Systems Engineers will participate in Sponsor working groups focusing on cyber security issues relating to assessed IT systems and devices, to include discussions with Sponsor IT security professionals and management; document and train Sponsor team members to effectively use online network and cybersecurity solutions; and ensure stability, integrity, availability, and privacy of tailored online network and cybersecurity solutions.
1.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience designing and supporting protected networks that enable secure virtual activities and communications. 2.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience successfully integrating various secure network infrastructure components and services to include bare metal and cloud systems, ISPs, proxies, commercial and custom VPN solutions, as well as TOR. 3.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience creating secure network solutions that reliably address requirements of commercial user validation services and two-factor authentication requirements. 4.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience in virtualization technology, VDI environments, Linux System configuration, and BIOS configuration. 5.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience deploying application servers (Wireguard, OpenVPN, Wordpress webservers, etc). 6.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience establishing and leveraging API accesses. 7.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience hardening COTS mobile and computer equipment against malware, adtech, "leaky" software, geo-tracking, and forensic inquiry or investigation. 8.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience testing and evaluating software packages 9.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience preparing written and graphical documentation for technical reviews, management briefings, and user guides 10.(Mandatory) Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical topics to non-technical individuals. 11.(Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's internal technical requirements, technology challenges, and mission goals 12.(Desired) Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's internal IT accreditation processes 13.(Desired) Demonstrated experience working with Sponsor or Sponsor's partners for computer network enabled tools deployment 14.(Desired) Demonstrated experience training users on operation and maintenance of secure network systems 15.(Desired) Demonstrated experience with commercial encryption and secure message systems 16.(Desired) Demonstrated experience employing network management and monitoring tools, or willingness to learn.
