Job Summary:
TCS is seeking a highly motivated Logistician II to support the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) program on-site in Bedford, IN. This role involves hands-on logistics operations, small team leadership, and technical integration and testing in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and system support functions.
Essential Functions:
- Perform system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance, and integrated product support (IPS).
- Control the flow of goods, services, and information to meet customer requirements.
- Plan and manage movement of materials from receiving/warehouse to production.
- Schedule and manage raw material requirements based on engineering and production needs.
- Build wire harnesses and cable assemblies using soldered/mechanical contacts.
- Interpret wiring schematics and test electrical circuits.
- Use test equipment to analyze power, Ethernet, and RF cables.
- Lead small teams: assign tasks, check work, document completion, and report to program manager.
- Integrate system components, modify systems, and test functionality.
- Create and implement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of logistics programs.
- Use technical manuals to develop procedures for functional testing of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and assign condition codes.
- Coordinate equipment shipments and monitor transportation, inventory, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure continuous improvement of standard logistics processes.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage fielding schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Use logistics management tools such as Costpoint, IPDM, and Microsoft Office.
- Associate's degree with 2+ years of related experience OR High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience with Excel and inventory tracking.
- Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., Costpoint, IPDM).
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in small teams.
- Previous experience supporting DoD programs or tactical systems.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced and high-tempo environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in a logistics or technical environment.
- Experience performing integration and modification of electronic systems.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in a busy, hands-on environment.
