Roles and Responsibilities:
The Combat Data Network (CDN) and Common Hosting Environment (CHE) Analyst is responsible for providing an integrated data sharing network with storage, virtualization capabilities, and C4I systems support to the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) via on-site and remote efforts. Will work cross-functionally with several departments and those who are performing work at Government Customers’ sites. Position will be required to travel at the Government Customer’s request. Travel is expected up to 25%.
Responsible for providing set-up, configuration, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance for the CDN, CHE, and legacy Combat Operation Center (COC) Variants (III, and IV). These support efforts are provided to military units in a helpdesk capacity at the MCTSSA WSD and while deployed, in preparation of, and while participating in major exercises and contingency operations.
Able to provide highly specialized system interoperability and integration support, including over-the shoulder training and troubleshooting for multiple fielded C4I systems and associated tactical networks to Marines deployed and in garrison.
Experienced with virtualization technologies such as VMware, vSAN, ESXi, Virtual Center Server Appliance, and vSphere.
Working knowledge of the administration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching, to include concepts and protocols such as LAN, WAN, EIRGP, RIP, and DMVPN. Knowledge in Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), Cisco Call Manager Express (CME), Unity Connection (CUC), and IM & Presence Service (CIMP) are also desired.
Working knowledge of the administration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Exchange, Windows Deployment Service (WDS), Active Directory, domain replication, SharePoint, Windows Firewalls, and SQL.
Working knowledge of the administration and troubleshooting of NetApp filer storage, Openfire chat server, C2 applications, Fortigate Firewalls, and Radio over IP communications.
General knowledge of a Network Operations Center (NOC).
General knowledge of COC and tactical utilization of C4I systems.
