Job Summary

The DoD contract is a multi-year operations and maintenance (O&M) contract for a 3D geospatial visualization system. On this program, we provide the customer with a wide variety of systems administration and cybersecurity services. A successful candidate will be well versed in the maintenance of SQL server administration, network troubleshooting, command line and PowerShell scripting, server maintenance, web application troubleshooting, the RMF/ATO process, and customer support. A successful candidate will be well versed in the latest cyber security practices to be part of a team responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a custom 3D geospatial visualization and production system on DoD IT networks. An Ideal candidate should have experience in many of the required technical skills listed. This position will work in a competitive environment and be responsible for working through all aspects of Life Cycle development.

Roles and Responsibilities

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:


  • Working with staff, managers, and team members to implement and document best security & IT practices per DoD regulations.
  • Configuring and supporting security tools such as firewalls and anti-virus software.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers and virtualization.
  • Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems and assessing impact of issues.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT Infrastructure.
  • Lead desktop and help desk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
  • Responsible for capacity, storage, planning and database performance.
  • Updating software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for each network resource.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledgeable of Cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) (NIST 800-53).
  • Familiarity with the Authorization to Operate (ATO) process.
  • Windows Server administration
  • Acquiring accreditation of enterprise servers
  • SQL Server administration.
  • Software installations, updates, and maintenance.
  • Web application troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to conduct server vulnerability scans with remediation.
  • Experience with XACTA 360 Cyber Risk Management Workflow software
  • Knowledge of Command line & PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server 2019
  • MS Internet Information Services (IIS) v10.
  • Data Transfer Officer (DTO); data transfers from network to network.

Education

  • A minimum of a bachelor-s degree in a relevant field of study and 10+ years of experience.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification or comparable 8750 documentation.
