Country Intelligence Group is seeking a Full-Time System Engineer to support our client located in McLean, Virginia. The selected candidate will assist with IT support for a multimedia production group and its partners by performing routine operations and maintenance (O&M), requirement validation, and system integration activities. This role requires a strong background in server environments, cloud infrastructure, enterprise technologies, and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.


Tasks Performed:

• Provide support in validating IT requirements, coordinating security approvals, and tracking requirements from submission through completion

• Perform daily interaction with developers and technical peers and occasional interaction with internal business partners

• Conduct routine computer operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks, supporting operating systems, hardware integration, and application compatibility

• Research and resolve routine and complex O&M issues independently

• Execute and provide input into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and activity schedules

• Assist in the installation, integration, testing, and maintenance of specific system software environments

• Install server software components under guidance using established processes

• Maintain operating and software configurations and document updates as required


Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with server technologies, including MVS, Linux, UNIX, and Windows (Required)

• Experience with Enterprise IT (EIT) utilities and security applications (Required)

• Proven ability to set up and manage servers in Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) (Required)

• Experience supporting multi-system, multi-application environments, including storage and hardware platforms (Required)

• Understanding of network requirements and their impact on operating systems (Required)

• Familiarity with organizational configuration standards, security constraints, and software management procedures (Required)

• Strong problem-solving skills, including independently diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues (Required)

• Analytical planning and organizational skills

• Understanding project management techniques to plan and execute initiatives (Required)

• Strong oral and written communication abilities to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences (Required)

• Ability to work independently on routine tasks (Required)

• Collaborative mindset to contribute as part of a technical team (Required)

• Experience working with system developers to elicit requirements and jointly plan projects (Required)

• Experience tracking requirements and researching new technologies to assess their impact on the organization (Required)

• Experience working with internal business partners to gather and validate requirements (Preferred)

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a scientific/technical discipline (Preferred)


Other Job Requirements:

• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph

• U.S. Citizenship, and successful background check
