Description
CeLeen, an operating group of Command Holdings, is seeking a Systems Engineer for a contract within the Department of Defense (DOD) at USTRANSCOM in support of Managed Information Technology Services (MITS) Enterprise Support.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment. The systems engineer will also provide quality assurance review and the evaluation of new and existing software products.
Expected Salary range: $72,000 - $92,000

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools.
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- System vulnerability remediation and reporting.
- System configuration and compliance.
- Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux/RedHat based environments.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must have one of the following IAT Level II certifications: Security+ , CYSA+, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP, CEH, CISA, etc.
- Must have experience in systems design, installation, implementation, and support in an Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 environment.
- Experience with Azure or AWS Cloud Environments.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with production environments.
- Working knowledge of authentication functions and protocols such as LDAP, Kerberos, and Active Directory.
- Conceptual knowledge of Storage systems (SAN/NAS).
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. CeLeen will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree.
- One or more of the following IT certifications: MCP, CompTIA A+ / Network+, AWS, Azure.
- ITIL V4 Foundations certification.
