Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to help DoD OIG protect sensitive information and systems.
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses on information systems.
- Manage and maintain system security plans (SSPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as NIST, FISMA, and other DoD frameworks.
- Coordinate and oversee regular security audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Collaborate with system administrators and developers to ensure proper implementation of security controls and mitigations.
- Educate and train employees on best practices for information security and compliance.
- Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and regulations to continuously improve the security posture of the organization.
Qualifications
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience required; or greater than 10 years of relevant experience required in leu of degree.
- IAM III such as (CASP+ CE, CISSP) is required; CISM certification is preferred.
