2. Primary Responsibilities.
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll provide subject-matter expertise on the engineering and technical services required to maintain, integrate, and enhance critical PACAF ISR systems (both command and unit-level). Your responsibilities will include:
- Systems Analysis & Design: Analyzing and developing plans and designs for C4I systems capabilities, and creating integration and implementation plans and schedules.
- Evaluation & Recommendations: Evaluating and making recommendations for commercial and government off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) hardware and software applications.
- Project Monitoring: Monitoring project statuses, preparing milestone status reports, and presenting updates to program managers and client staff.
- Technical Support: Providing technical and administrative support for systems installation, testing, administration, maintenance, and programming.
- Operational Support: Offering operational and maintenance support for C4I systems, including system administration, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Architectural Upgrades: Supporting the installation and upgrading
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related scientific field.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in C4I-related systems, activities, and programs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Certifications: CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Cisco Certifying Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of Network Protocols, Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating systems.
- Web & Intranet Technologies: Familiarity with World Wide Web, Intelink, and intranet technology and their processes & applications.
- Information Security: Knowledge of DoD Information Security Policies and Programs for COMPUSEC and INFOSEC, as well as Multi-Level Security and emerging Information Warfare Concepts.
- Military Knowledge: Understanding of Military Organizations, Operations, and Operational Information Requirements in peacetime, crisis, and war.
- Intelligence Systems: Knowledge of Air Force & Joint Intelligence Systems (examples: GALE and PCI-3/T).
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, VMWARE Certified Professional 6 - Network Virtualization, Desktop and Mobility, Cloud Management and Automation.
Position Details:
- Pay Rate / Range: $66.83- $71.83
