Job Summary
Castalia Systems is seeking a Data Engineer- Mid in the Reston, VA to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) for the client-s CI/HUMINT efforts.
Roles and Responsibilities
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Designs, implements, and operates data management systems for intelligence solutions.
- Design data storage systems that are accessible, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and other digital systems.
- Works with partners to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems.
- Plans, designs, and optimizes data throughput and query performance.
- Participates in selection of backend database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.), their configuration and utilization, and the optimization of the full data pipeline infrastructure to support the actual content, volume, ETL, and periodicity of data to support queries and analysis.
Required Qualifications
- 4 - 10 years of experience and a MA/MS degree.
- Certifications: Sec +, AWS Cloud and AWS Database Administration.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Normal office environment.
Travel
- CONUS and OCONUS travels may be required as mission dictates.
