Overview
Axient/Astrion is seeking several a Senior Acquisitions SMEsto join our team in El Segundo, CA to provide acquisition consulting on a newly awarded 5 year, $150 million program supporting the Space Sensing directorate of the USSF.
Space Sensing is one of five SSC program executive offices and is responsible for delivering space-based MW/MT/MD capabilities; space-based environmental monitoring (SBEM) capabilities; and other tactical intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities, ensuring end-to-end mission integration.
** Work is on a Hybrid schedule. Clearances required is TS/SCI**

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Materiel Leader & Deputy in all aspects of program strategy, execution, and business operations.
- Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
- Support program acquisition efforts for advanced technology, future concept development, and integration activities.
- Advise and assist the customer on cost, schedule, and performance matters.
- Directly supports PEO acquisition planning and execution in support of portfolio-wide and specific program activities as directed. Provides strategic counsel to the PEO, Senior Materiel Leaders, and others as requested on a range of issues including acquisition strategy, interpretation of acquisition law and policy, and financial management.
- Applies experience, coupled with strategic and critical thinking skills, to acquisition milestones and decisions as necessary to successfully execute the PEO's acquisition portfolio.
- 20-30 years USAF/USSF Acquisitions preferred
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- BA or BS degree, MS preferred
- 20+ years' experience in DoD SATCOM acquisition experience, system life cycle management, sustainment, and transition.
- RFP documentation development
- Depot activation
- Supply chain management
- Technical Orders
- Professional certifications such as INCOSE
- DAWIA Certifications, such as Program Management Level 1, Life Cycle Logistics Level II
- MILSATCOM space operations
