Job Description:
This position will serve as an experienced IT Specialist supporting the U.S. Navy’s OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) in Redzikowo, Poland.
Job Responsibilities:
● Oversee the operation of network systems, architecture, and topology through deployment.
● Taking part in rotational on-call.
● Ensure that operating systems are adequate, functional, and conform to operation security policies and procedures.
● Utilize appropriate reporting and ticketing tools to ensure issues are resolved or properly passed up to the higher tier.
● Participate in strategic network planning, steady-state operations planning, and development of contingency operation plans.
● Troubleshoot end devices such as VoIP’s, printers and workstations.
● Ability to run copper and fiber cables as well as patching them to the appropriate patch panels.
● Support the implementation of new technologies.
● Displays strong interpersonal skills, experience, and effective written and oral communication.
● Provide resolution of Remedy tickets involved with network outages, port configurations, and configuration requests for internal network devices.
● Assist and Support Tier III / Tier IV requests for installations of internal network devices.
● Troubleshoot and resolve network or circuit outages.
● Prepare recommendations based on monitoring results and tools analyses.
● Develop and implement standards, procedures, and processes for the NOC.
● Maintain system architecture and operational documentation.
Experience and Education Requirements:
● 4+ years of experience in DoD IT Network Operations
Certification Requirements:
● CompTIA Security+
● Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
