Job Summary:
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team supporting a Homeland Security customer based in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be tasked integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle and ensuring the reliability and security of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer:
Qualifications of the DevSecOps Engineer:
· 8+ years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or related field.
· Active Secret clearance.
· Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required.
· Must hold a Secret level Security Clearance
· Experience in any or all the following:
o Docker Enterprise, Splunk, Chef, Chef Automate, Chef (Ruby), Puppet, Ansible, Kubernetes, Openshift
o Hands-on working experience in Terraform (IaC), Jenkins groovy scripts, and Python.
Compensation for the Storage Administrator:
· Salary Range: $130,000-$150,000/year **depending on experience**

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team supporting a Homeland Security customer based in Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will be tasked integrating security practices into the software development lifecycle and ensuring the reliability and security of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities of the DevSecOps Engineer:
- Innovate and create advanced solutions through automation, utilizing IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and DevSecOps tools (CI/CD, code quality, security, and monitoring).
- Ensure that developed infrastructure, services, and applications adhere to all standards, including security, monitoring, performance, and SLAs.
- Proven experience in releasing production code and developing PaaS/SaaS solutions.
- Work collaboratively with development and operations teams to design, implement, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure.
- Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including code scanning, vulnerability assessment, and threat modeling.
- Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of applications.
- Create and manage containerization and microservices.
- Integrate security measures, such as automated vulnerability scanning, static and dynamic analysis, and security testing, into the CI/CD process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Automate and orchestrate security processes, including incident response and threat detection, using technologies like Splunk, Chef Automate, and others.
- Stay informed about emerging DevSecOps trends, tools, and practices, and recommend new technologies for implementation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in DevSecOps practices and techniques.
