Evolver Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager Lead to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of security initiatives and IT projects for a federal client. This role requires a strong technical background in cybersecurity and proven project management expertise to oversee multiple security projects, ensure alignment with organizational security goals, and mitigate cyber risks. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

This role requires a strong technical background in cybersecurity and proven project management expertise to oversee multiple security projects, ensure alignment with organizational security goals, and mitigate cyber risks. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with business and security objectives.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments to ensure timely project delivery.
- Collaborate with security engineers, analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
- Oversee risk management processes, identifying and mitigating security risks within project execution.
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project success metrics.
- Manage and optimize resource allocation, stakeholder communications, and team coordination.
- Support incident response and security improvement initiatives by integrating security controls into IT projects.
- Stay up to date on emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and project management best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- An Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to pass a comprehensive background check
- 1 of the following Certifications: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- 8 years of experience in information security
- 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT, including familiarity with security protocols, risk assessment, and threat management.
- 8 years of experience managing IT or cybersecurity projects. This includes planning, execution, and closing projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field
- An active Department of Energy Q Clearance
- Proven experience in leading teams and coordinating with various departments.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity and project management principles.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
