AFNORTH A6 Telecommunication Specialist

AFNORTH/A6 provides circuit management with the technology transition and sustainment for the NORAD-NORTHCOM (N-NC) CONUS NORAD Region (CONR) Air Operations Center (AOC) or Air Defense Sectors as required. This task focuses on the circuit management process in transitioning and sustaining Information Technology (IT) systems supporting AFNORTH's the Command, Control, Communications and Computer (C4) systems.

• The contractor will Assist the AFNORTH Circuit Management Office (CMO) in providing circuit management support for CONUS. This CMO focuses on circuit management in support of the Air Defense mission.
• The contractor shall provide up to two personnel perform circuit management duties under the lead AFNORTH Circuit Manager. The Emphasis shall be placed upon timely responses to new and ongoing circuit requirements. The contractor personnel will be given office space within AFNORTH/A6.
• The contractor shall use the tools of the trade to include, but not limited to, a DISA web-based order entry system, DISA repository system, shared trackers and organization mailbox. The contractor shall possess the skills to gather necessary technical information to build and submit Telecommunications Service Requests (TSRs), interpret Telecommunications Service Orders (TSOs) and Status of Acquisition Messages (SAMs), complete Delayed Service Requests (DSRs) and In-Effect Reports (IERs), and close out the requirement by filing all messages and updating shared trackers.

Education and Experience: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree and 3+ years of experience

Security Clearance: Secret

Desired Experience: radio technician, telephones, or tech control
