The Opportunity:
The OMIS-A ( Operational Medicine Information Systems - Army) team is looking for a System Architect to work on Enterprise Cross Domain Systems and associated projects. These systems provide reliable data transfers between domains for general users and programs. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the implementation of complex and scalable system architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust and high-performing technical solutions.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. $85,800 - $180,200

Responsibilities:
- Define system architecture: Lead the design, development, and documentation of system architectures for new products, features, and services.
- Provide end-to-end technical solutions using emerging technologies such as Cloud Native and Containerization.
- Conduct feasibility studies: Evaluate the technical feasibility and risks associated with proposed system designs.
- Develop technical roadmaps: Defi ne and maintain long-term technical roadmaps for system evolution and modernization.
- Ensure system scalability and performance: Design and implement systems that can handle high volumes of traffic and data.
- Collaborate with development teams: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of technology trends: Research and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on our systems.
- Ensure system security and reliability: Design and implement security measures to protect system integrity and availability.
- Communicate effectively: Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Required
- Ability to obtain and maintain minimally a Secret clearance.
- This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to properly prioritize and multi -task. You must be able to work collaboratively with our project team in an Agile environment to ensure we are implementing optimal solutions for our customers. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys interacting with people and has a desire to take on greater knowledge and responsibility.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Large-scale soft ware development or application engineering with recent coding experience in:
- NET Framework
- NET Core (version 6 or above)
- SQL Server
- Azure SQL
- Angular (version 11 and above)
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- Experience architecting, designing, and programming applications using the .NET stack in both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability, and high availability.
- Experience architecting systems using cloud-native methodologies, patterns, and practices.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using Microsoft Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience designing and developing relational database models using SQL Server.
- Experience deploying into Microsoft Azure (IaaS and SaaS)Bachelor's Degree in a Technical fi eld (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science)
- DoD 8140.01 / DoD 8570.01-M.IAT Level II Certification
