Responsibilities
- Completing and maintaining accurate records of material usage and parts ordered.
- Coordinates Warranty and Core returns with suppliers
- Maintains and coordinates a stock of spare parts to ensure parts are available to meet customer needs.
- Receives items, enters item data and cost into inventory system, stocks items, and tracks and analyzes the movement of inventory.
- Performs cycle and physical inventory counts.
- Purchases parts from outside vendors.
- Purchases, stores, and issues spare parts for motor vehicles or industrial equipment. Reads shop manuals to ascertain type specification of part.
- Contacts vendors to order parts.
- Compares invoices against requisitions to verify merchandise received.
- Keeps records of parts received and issued, and inventories parts in storeroom periodically.
- Loading and offloading supplies if needed at various locations.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Manager or Station Manager.
Qualifications
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Possess strong computer skills.
- Must be familiar with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be willing to work in inclement weather.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
- High School graduate or GED.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
- Able to work in noisy environments.
- Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
- Friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
- Self-motivated, team player.
- Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug test.
