We're looking for a skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to be part of our tech-forward team supporting Oracle Exadata Cloud Service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced replication, failover, and patching strategies-while supporting secure and resilient environments critical to national operations.

What You'll Do

• Manage and optimize Oracle Exadata Cloud Service environments within OCI
• Design and maintain replication strategies to support data availability and integrity
• Automate failover processes using Oracle Data Guard to minimize downtime
• Plan and execute zero-downtime patching and upgrades
• Develop backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data
• Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure database solutions
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and fine-tune database environments
• Stay up-to-date with Oracle tech advancements, especially around Exadata and OCI
• Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and recovery plans
• Ensure all practices align with security standards and compliance guidelines

What You Bring

• At least 5 years of experience in Oracle database administration
• 3+ years working hands-on with Oracle Exadata Cloud Service in OCI
• Solid skills in SQL and PL/SQL
• Deep understanding of Oracle architecture, including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard
• Experience with replication, failover automation, and performance tuning
• A collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus If You Have

• Experience with OCI services beyond Exadata
• Background in database migrations or cloud-native deployments
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
• Oracle certifications in Exadata or OCI
• Understanding of database security best practices
