As a Business Analyst - Azure Platform, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, documenting, and enhancing cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure. You'll work closely with engineering, security, and project management teams to align Azure cloud implementations with business needs and federal compliance requirements. What You'll Do:
  • Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Assess cloud business processes and recommend optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and project managers to define system and business requirements for Azure cloud initiatives.
  • Azure Cloud Governance & Compliance: Assist in ensuring cloud infrastructure aligns with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and DoD security requirements.
  • Agile & Scrum Methodology: Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between government clients, engineering teams, and leadership, facilitating clear project communication.
  • Data Tracking & Reporting: Utilize JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI to track project progress, manage risks, and generate data-driven reports.
  • Azure Platform Support: Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to address business needs related toAzure DevOps, Virtual Machines, Storage, and Identity Management.
  • Process Automation & Workflow Optimization: Assist in the development of automated solutions for cloud provisioning and access control management.
  • Training & User Adoption: Support Azure cloud training initiatives, ensuring end-user adoption and best practices.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, compliance challenges, and technical issues, providing mitigation strategies.


What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or IT project support, including 2+ years supporting Azure cloud environments.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or other relevant Azure certifications (preferred).
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile methodologies to manage technical projects.
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) for cloud security.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and reporting dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Strong ability to work withtechnical teams, executives, and government agencies to align business needs with cloud capabilities.


Bonus Points (Nice to Haves):
  • Experience working with federal agencies or government cloud projects.
  • Knowledge of Azure Identity Management (Active Directory, RBAC).
  • Experience supportingAzure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline tracking.
  • Familiarity with cloud cost management tools (Azure Cost Management, FinOps principles).
