Adsync Technologies is seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist for a contract with Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division in Virginia Beach, VA.
The Warehouse Specialist will work at Adsync’s location in Virginia Beach, VA. This requirement supports NSWCPD, which is responsible for oversight of policy and compliance in the areas of Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S), Plant Property & Equipment (PP&E)/ Asset Management, and Purchase Requisitions (PR).
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for oversight of Property Management operations in accordance with Navy policy, including:
• Track and report customer interactions, complaints, suggestions, and comments via a customer interaction report.
• Analyze material needs, process material requests, and provide recommendations as to effective operation of Shop Stores.
• Fulfill order by picking, packing, sealing, labeling, and affixing postage to prepare materials for shipping and prepare documents such as packing slips so that product arrives on time and undamaged.
• Examine contents and compare with records, such as packing slips, to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
• Maintain organization of warehouse by promptly shelving items in a logical manner so that products are easily found.
• Responsible for keeping the warehouse clean and free of hazards so that the environment is positive, presentable, and safe.
• Maintain and requisition appropriate type and quantity of shipping supplies so that shipping is not delayed.
• Maintain relationships with shipping/carrier representatives to ensure timely shipping arrangements and to rectify problems such as damage to product.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of stock products so that needed materials are readily available.
• Assist with other duties as requested so that all operations run smoothly.
Experience:
• Minimum of five (5) years working on a team responsible for property/asset or material accountability.
• Working knowledge of Plant Property & Equipment / Asset and Supply Chain management policies and regulations.
Education:
• Individual shall have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and shall have experience outlined below.
Clearance:
• A Security Clearance is required.
