Senior Broadcaster/Producer

FedWriters is building a team to provide comprehensive video and broadcast production support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. As a Senior Broadcaster/Producer you will manage overall production operations for high-quality videos, oversee production teams, develop concepts with clients, and ensure final productions meet broadcast quality standards while adhering to agency policies.

Work Schedule and Location:

On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall production operations, focusing on both administrative and logistical aspects
• Consult with clients to define production concepts, objectives, and target audiences
• Advise on script effectiveness and develop budget estimates tailored to varying production levels
• Design and maintain budget control throughout project lifecycles
• Develop production schedules and approve script and set designs
• Oversee procurement of props and equipment and selection of shooting locations
• Select production crew members including directors, performers, and technical staff
• Manage contracting for commercial services as needed
• Provide audio support and solutions for events
• Resolve contractor issues and ensure final productions adhere to agency policies
• Edit and produce all videos to national broadcast quality level and DVD quality
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud applications to deliver polished, detail-oriented final edits
• Lead the production process from beginning to end including conceptualization, pre-planning, storyboarding, scripting, and interviewing
• Design and produce national Industry-level motion design graphics for various video products
• Conceptualize and create special effects, 3D renderings, and graphic elements
• Ensure all videos adhere to Section 508 accessibility standards and are adaptable across multiple platforms

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in production OR 5 years of experience coupled with a degree in Film, Communications, or Media Studies
• Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Production Premium, Microsoft Office Professional, AVS Video Converter, and screen capture software
• Experience managing production operations, including budgeting and scheduling
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards
• Experience with audio support and solutions for events
• Strong leadership abilities and experience managing production teams
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Active Secret level security clearance is required.
