- A valid FAA A&P Certificate is Required.
- Union CBA site offers Three (3) levels of A&P Mechanic employment. The skillset level is based on the number of years of hands-on experience, specifically on the assigned aircraft (MDS) Army C-12 - King Air and/or UC-35 Cessna Citation.(Per Union CBA).
- US Citizenship is Required to obtain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance, and for facility and base access.
- Is responsible for servicing, troubleshooting, repairing and modifying aircraft systems to ensure continued airworthiness.
- These tasks are performed on avionics & electrical systems, engines, flight controls and airframe components.
- Repairs are performed using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
- Comply with aircraft records procedures outlined in DA PAM 738-751.
- Ensure aircraft discrepancies are properly recorded in accordance with approved maintenance procedures and within the terms of the contract.
- Know and understand the functions and requirements of computerized maintenance software.
- Perform aircraft recovery missions, as necessary.
- Perform engine run or taxi operations. Meet requirement to obtain certification within 12 months of employment.
- Reads and interprets manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
- Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
- Shift work will be Required.
Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is Required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P Certificate is Required.
- The Union CBA offer Three (3) levels of A&P mechanic employment and pay; hourly rate and skill level is based on hands-on years of experience specifically on the assigned aircraft: C-12 King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation.
- Union Skillset Requirements Below:
- AM-1 - Two (2) Years A&P experience Required, with a minimum of two (2) years of specific hands-on C-12 King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation experience strongly desired.
- AM-2 - Five (5) years of A&P experience, with Five (5) years of hands-on specific C-12/ King Air Or UC-35 Cessna Citation A&P mechanic experience Required.
- AM-3 - A Minimum of Ten (10) years of A&P mechanicexperience, with a Minimum of Thirteen (13) years hands-on specific C-12 King Air Or UC-35 Cessna mechanic experience required.
- A Valid Driver's License is Required.
- Mechanics may provide their own Shadowed and Etched Tools and Toolbox. (Personal Tools Must be shadowed and etched with PID). Site provides Two Smart Box Toolkits for maintenance utilization.
- Medical/Physical required. All personnel performing engine runs, ground taxi, ordnance loading, or operating self-propelled support equipment within 10 feet of the aircraft silhouette must pass a physical examination from a qualified medical professional prior to conducting these operations, and subsequently on a specified periodic basis, not to exceed 5 years.
- SHIFT WORK is REQUIRED- Must be willing and able to work any shift assigned under the Union CBA, and/or rotate for a multiple shift operation. Second Shift 2:30 - 11:00 PM.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Govt Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to maintain facility credentials and authorization. US Citizenship is Required to hold a US Govt Secret Clearance, and facility credentials and access to this work facility.
Physical and Preferred Qualifications:
- Comply with the FAA regulations as applicable.
- Pull, push, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to move freely about the interior and in the unpressurized area aft of the aft pressure bulkhead and meet aircraft specific specs for weight limit.
- Stand, squat, sit, walk, work with arms overhead for extended periods of time.
- Possesses a valid FAA Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) license and shows compliance with FAR 65.83, recent experience requirements.
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining professional and non-confrontational attitude.
