Technician (remote)
KBR, Inc., located in Cambridge, MA, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to support the deployment and testing of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) and Complementary Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (CPNT) equipment. KBR Inc. supports the U.S. Department of Transportation's Volpe Center with the development and evaluation of real-time communication, navigation, surveillance, and decision support systems to support aviation operations throughout the nation and the world. Our team specializes in planning, researching, testing, and evaluating the Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen). Our work helps the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) improve safety, alleviate air traffic congestion, and mitigate environmental impacts. The selected candidate will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team operating in an agile and fast paced environment and utilizing state-of-the-art technologies.

Responsibilities
The selected candidate could provide support in the following areas:
- Support activities at Aviation Weather Research Facility (AWRF) on Joint Base Cape Cod (JBCC) (AWRF/JBCC)
- Develop and conduct test plans for vendor equipment
- Provide expertise in general and specialized analytical techniques to test and evaluate test data.
- Coordinate with vendors at AWRF/JBCC to schedule and conduct tests
- Support work on the Civil Signal Monitoring System (CSMS)
- Support automated Vehicle PNT
- Support work on GNSS Signal Authentication
- Support DOT Pilot PNT Programs
- Support GNSS Toughening PNT Support
- Support work on the GPS Next Generation Operational Control
- Support standards bodies work
- Potential travel to other government test facilities (i.e. White Sands Missile Range)
- Potentially travel to standards and/or government meetings
Required Qualifications
- 5-7years of experience
- Experience with testing of PNT and CPNT equipment
- Ability to deploy and manage a variety of equipment in the field
- Experience working with vendors
- Experience managing a wide range technical area in the PNT areana
- Test conduct and data management.

- Research work in the area of PNT
- Data fusion of test results and field data
