Our Next Gen Geo Mission Management team is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to augment our Agile Team in support of our Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Mission Management Product.

As a member of a high-performing team you must be passionate about your trade, focused on mission system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities.

This position involves working within a 5-6 person agile team where you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and testing of mainly Java code for Mission specific software. Working within a tight-knit agile team will require frequent collaboration within the team on technical issues as well as allow for exposure to a variety of development challenges where you will be coordinating with external groups on the issue and implementing a solution.

Responsibilities include:
• You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology

• Supporting development efforts with baseline management, creation and maintenance of CI/CD build pipeline and automated test suites, issue troubleshooting and resolution of software (Java) and software discrepancies in a timely manner.

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to help support these critical efforts.

This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level 3) ROLE where candidates typically require 5+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Selected candidate must have a Secret security clearance prior to start.

Basic Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance prior to start
• Strong experience in software design and development.
• Java programming experience
• Linux OS background/Experience developing in a Linux environment
• Experience developing maintainable code as well as performing unit, integration, and regression testing.
Desired Skills:
• Previous experience with mission management.
• Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
• Must have strong teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
