Description:You will be the Quality Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control team at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), New Mexico. Our team is responsible for supporting Air & Missile Defense test activities, ensuring the quality and reliability of our weapon systems and subsystems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance efforts, analyzing and resolving process issues, and supporting test operations at WSMR and other sites. You will work independently and as part of a team to identify and address quality concerns, and make decisions on product acceptability.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Supporting ground and flight test operations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
-Analyzing quality data and resolving process issues, from basic to complex
-Participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards to disposition non-conforming hardware
-Conducting assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and procedures
-Interfacing with customers and program personnel on quality-related issues
-Utilizing lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement and reduce waste

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in STEM from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
Demonstrated knowledge of non-conformance handling and disposition.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge in mechanical and electrical assembly, disassembly and test.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a PC and applications - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
Ability to achieve and maintain certification in technical skills as required by the role.
Willingness to travel.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred.
Current Secret security clearance.
Current or prior membership in an MRBE.
Current certification as a system auditor.
Experience in handling explosives as part of weapon system development and testing.
Experience at a major testing range such as White Sands Missile Range, Redstone Arsenal, or China Lake is desired.
Experience in understanding, observing and enforcing compliance with environmental control procedures for the handling and disposition of hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
