Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer (Software Engineering, Junior Analyst) to join our dynamic development team. As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.
This position supports a Federal Government client from our Lexington Park, MD location and currently requires an on-site schedule with 5 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Total travel is expected to be approximately 10% to CONUS sites
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college.
Clearance

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications.

Responsibilities
- Software Development: Assist in coding, debugging, and implementing software applications in various programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in the testing and quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of software applications
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for software projects, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical reports
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements and contribute to the development process
- Learning and Development: Continuously improve your technical skills by staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technologies

Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with team members
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing project requirements
- Internship or prior work experience in software development
- Understanding of penetration testing, multilevel security architecture, and cross domain solutions
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), integrated development environments (IDEs), and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile)
