We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials and Processes Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will define requirements and approve tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture, and/or maintenance of products. Key responsibilities include producing specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes, maintaining compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations, and promoting standardization across business activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define requirements and approve tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
  • Produce specifications and documents to manage deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes.
  • Promote standardization across business activities.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to business needs.
  • Develop and qualify new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes to meet requirements.
  • Integrate new technologies as appropriate.
  • Manage test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements.
  • Conduct analysis to characterize performance or determine reasons for failure of tools, materials, parts, or processes.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Design, develop, and qualify computer and production systems to satisfy user requirements.
  • Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
  • Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into materials and processes, research, design and qualification, work procedures, and labs and office areas.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. (STEM)
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1+ years of Manufacturing Research and Development experience in mechanical/structures assembly, materials and processes engineering, and/or manufacturing research and development.
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling tools.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience communicating with customers.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 3D Printing experience.
  • Rapid Solution Creation and Deployment.
  • 2+ years of Technology Implementation experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical installation, teardown, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of aircraft mechanical/structural buildup and teardown.
Candidates must have the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
