Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled contractor with expertise in cybersecurity and technical systems integration to work closely with the Sponsor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining technical systems that enable secure online activities while ensuring the integrity and privacy of data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Sponsor to identify and assess requirements for technical systems, including Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) , Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) and open-source resources.
- Develop, test, and deploy tailored online network and cybersecurity solutions.
- Collect and evaluate Sponsor's online network and cybersecurity requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Sponsor's technical approval processes throughout the lifecycle of approvals.
- Participate in Sponsor working groups focusing on cybersecurity issues related to IT systems and devices, engaging with IT security professionals and management.
- Document system configurations and provide technical training for Sponsor team members to effectively utilize online network and cybersecurity solutions.
- Maintain the stability, integrity, availability, and privacy of tailored online network and cybersecurity solutions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience designing and supporting protected networks that enable secure virtual activities and communications .
- Demonstrated experience successfully integrating various secure network infrastructure components and services to include bare metal and cloud systems, ISPs, proxies , commercial and custom VPN solutions , as well as TOR .
- Demonstrated experience creating secure network solutions that reliably address requirements of commercial user validation services and two-factor authentication requirements .
- Demonstrated experience in virtualization technology, VDI environments, Linux System configuration, and BIOS configuration .
- Demonstrated experience deploying application servers ( Wireguard , OpenVPN, Wordpress webservers, etc ) .
- Demonstrated experience establishing and leveraging API accesses .
- Demonstrated experience hardening COTS mobile and computer equipment against malware, adtech , "leaky" software, geo-track ing, and forensic inquiry or investigation .
- Demonstrated experience testing and evaluating software packages
- Demonstrated experience preparing written and graphical documentation for technical reviews, management briefings, and user guides
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex technical topics to non-technical individuals
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's internal technical requirements , technology challenges , and mission goals
- Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's internal IT accreditation processes
- Demonstrated experience working with Sponsor or Sponsor's partners for computer network enabled tools deployment
- Demonstrated experience training users on operation and maintenance of secure network systems
- Demonstrated experience with commercial encryption and secure message systems
- Demonstrated experience employing network management and monitoring tools, or willingness to learn.
