Position Overview
At Infinity, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Space Mission Protection Specialist professional to join our team. As a Space Mission Protection Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding space assets and ensuring the protection of our vital space systems. Your expertise in space operations, mission planning, threat assessment, orbital knowledge, and space asset protection will be instrumental in supporting our operations.

Primary Responsibilities
As a Space Mission Protection Specialist at Infinity, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Applying your knowledge of space operations to support mission planning and execution
- Assessing and mitigating threats to space assets, including satellites and other space systems
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of orbital mechanics and how it relates to space asset protection
- Collaborating with team members to develop and implement strategies for the protection of space systems on orbit
- Familiarizing yourself with and effectively applying terms and processes within Joint Publication 5-0
- Proficiently utilizing the Joint Planning process, with a specific focus on tactical mission planning
- Applying Joint Planning Guidance and National, Strategic, Operational, and Tactical level guidance into planning documents, emphasizing tactical mission planning application
- 4-8 years of experience in space operations, mission planning, or related fields
- Strong knowledge of space assets and their protection
- Expertise in space mission planning and execution
- Ability to assess and address threats to space systems
- Proficiency in orbital mechanics and its application to space asset protection
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with threat frameworks and mission planning processes
- Experience in tactical mission planning for space operations
- Experience in joint planning, JP50
- Understanding of space policy and regulations
- Knowledge of advanced orbital mechanics
- In-depth understanding of military planning processes and methodologies
- Experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or other federal agencies
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., National Security, Intelligence, or Planning) OR equivalent experience in a relevant operational environment
- Graduate Degree is a plus
