General Function:
  • Assist with analyses, report writing, and recommendations for maintenance support, including equipment readiness for missions.
  • Support all maintenance levels and implementation via partnering, organic, and contractor support.
  • Help define maintenance and support concepts, plans, and requirements across the system's lifecycle.
  • Provide support in areas like reliability-centered maintenance, level of repair analysis, and tracking system modifications.
  • Track and monitor weapon system modifications and source of repair assignments.
  • Assist in identifying interim contractor support and post-production support needs.
  • Address environmental impacts on survivability, corrosion control, and other maintenance concerns.
  • Assist in identifying personnel requirements for operating and supporting a weapon system over its lifecycle.
  • Support manpower and personnel analyses such as workload, occupational structure, and skill assessments.
  • Develop operator and logistics support manpower requirements.
  • Assess the ILS product support and sustainment elements and access modeling databases for analysis.
  • Support actions to acquire, catalog, store, transfer, issue, and dispose of secondary items.
  • Identify spare parts for pre/post-operational support and develop provisioning strategies.
  • Track and monitor spare repair and manage interim contractor support.
  • Evaluate and recommend supply strategies, including diminishing manufacturing sources.
  • Review technical documentation for provisioning and acquisition of long lead-time items.
  • Support provisioning conferences and track spares readiness packages.
  • Assist in ensuring timely delivery of required support equipment for weapon system operations.
  • Support equipment conferences and identify specific support requirements for test, evaluation, and maintenance.
  • Quantify and assess ILS/product support and sustainment elements.
  • Assist in acquiring technical data for system design and logistics.
  • Support an integrated data system that tracks technical baselines and provides data correlation.
  • Help prepare engineering data management plans and technical order verification.
  • Track and monitor the delivery and compliance of technical data for manuals and related documents.
  • Assist in defining and developing training system requirements based on task and skill analysis.
  • Develop training plans and identify alternative training requirements.
  • Provide support in developing training curricula for specific weapon systems and components.
  • Support the acquisition of necessary facilities, hardware, software, and personnel for critical systems.
  • Assist with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence Support Plan (C4ISP) preparation.
  • Review and evaluate computer software development reports and schedules.
  • Assist in site surveys to determine facility needs for operational and post-operational phases.
  • Support the preparation of facility requirement plans.
  • Assist in base and depot site activation meetings.
  • Ensure systems and equipment are properly preserved, packaged, handled, stored, and transported.
  • Identify and manage hazardous materials and packaging needs.
  • Support the review of transportability reports and track asset visibility requirements.
  • Assist with transportation funding and documentation clearance.
  • Relate logistics design parameters to system readiness and support costs.
  • Identify and establish engineering processes and logistics-related design parameters.
  • Assist in reviewing configuration item specifications.
  • Support warranty analyses and implementation, including tracking and monitoring warranties according to the weapon system contract.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • MA in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five years of which must be in the DoD, OR, BA in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five of which must be in the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD.
  • Must obtain and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications and other standard applications.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
