About the role
Concept Plus is seeking a highly motivated self-driven mid level DBA. We are seeking a DBA who can support design and development activities of a software modernization effort. The candidate will be responsible designing, building and ultimately delivering solutions architected to run in an AWS environment. This project uses Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices to ensure consistent, secure and timely delivery of capability and the candidate should be prepared to operate in such an environment.

What you'll do
You will be working with a skilled team in an agile environment to support an application modernization effort utilizing your DBA development skills. You will be expected to:
- Contribute to customer satisfaction through quality code and on-time delivery
- Pursue training/tools to fill needs
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
- Apply industry best practices and techniques to design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain complex oracle code based on business requirements using approved technologies and coding standards.
- Assist in project planning and architectural design reviews. Helping to plan for future system design and development updates.
- Communicate with team, customer, and stakeholders in a clear, concise, timely, and professional manner.
- Support documentation needs such as SLA's, Software Design documents, SOP's, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- 3+ years of overall experience
- Two years of experience may be substituted with an advanced degree
- Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
- Experience in an Agile environment
- Experience working with Agile tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence)
- Experience working with Docker
- Experience working with AWS and developing Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Jenkins and DevSecOps practices
- Familiarity with Federal cybersecurity compliance work
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- An Interim Secret or Secret Clearance to start
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
