The Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) Launcher and System Integration Program Manager will be responsible for the overall Launcher and Systems Integration Solutions business line to include strategy generation, execution and growth while ensuring delivery of capability tied to existing contractual obligations. As the owner of Profit and Loss (P&L) for this business line, reporting to the Director, ESSM Programs; you will have significant decision making and directional authority and be accountable for delivering against commitments while achieving all business metrics. The scope of work ranges from new technology development through aging hardware sustainment; across US DOD, FMS and DCS contracts via both cost type and fixed price contracts.

What You Will Do:
  • Achieve technical, cost, and schedule objectives operating within an AGILE operational model.
  • Drive the day-to-day program execution cadence (battle rhythm) across a wide range of efforts, i.e., agile execution, customer status, metrics, and continuous improvement towards achieving predictive results with specific focus on delivery of capability.
  • Achieve all AOP commitments.
  • Lead a cross functional, dispersed team of experts in some cases indirectly through leading leaders, to resolve complex technical challenges and deliver cutting edge capability.
  • Regularly compile & present status at the program level, Customer Program Management Reviews (PMR) including technical, schedule, cost status and root cause/corrective action.
  • Formulate capture plans and follow through with proposal creation, negotiations and contract awards.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international as needed

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
  • Prior Program/Project Management experience
  • Prior experience managing project or program cost, schedule and risk.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Ability to brief customers on program status/objectives
  • Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Proven ability to understand complex systems and processes
  • Proven leadership experience managing a large team to deliver results.
  • Experience operating, preferably leading, in an Agile environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with IPDS, EVMS, IMS, Risk & Opportunity Management, program planning, budgeting, and tracking to cost and schedule.
  • Experience leading cross functional teams
  • Experience in management of international programs including Solid knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and RTX Export and Import processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • CORE Certified EVMS certified, PM6 Certified
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, requirements and commitments and interface successfully with numerous disciplines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements.
  • Demonstrated track record of customer relationship management

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
